The Future of Payment Systems
|

Today there are multiple options available to collect payment in vended laundries: Coins, Bills, Tokens, Central Pay Stations, Smart Cards, Mag Stripe Cards, EBT Cards, Credit Cards, and more. It is important for all owners to learn more about the pros and cons of each of these options to make the best decision possible for their own laundries.
We have two highly qualified guests joining us as our keynote speakers: Wayne Lewis, Director of Sales of ESD, Inc. from Pennsylvania, and Michael Coons, National Sales Manager of Standard Change-Makers, Inc. from Indiana.
Each speaker will talk for approximately 30 minutes about the new features, benefits and trends of their area of expertise (but not speaking solely or exclusively about their own company's products). Following the two formal presentations, our guests will join us for a lively town square style public debate and address questions and comments from the audience on all forms of payment systems.
Joining this debate will be our third guest speaker, Brian Merkel of Clean King Laundry Systems, Inc., an extremely experienced and well-known owner of both coin and card stores throughout the Los Angeles area.

Everyone is welcome to attend open events of the Southern California Coin Laundry Association, and our members always receive a discount. We also regularly hold exclusive events open only to store-owner, SoCAL CLA members.
We work hard to bring the best and most knowledgeable speakers to speak at our events and to educate our members and guests, from within and outside of the coin laundry industry, from across town and from across the country.

Michael Coons has been Vice President and National Sales Manager at Standard Change-Makers, Inc. in Indianapolis since 2003. Since 1955, Standard Change-Makers has been in the business of designing and manufacturing currency changers for self-service, coin-operated industries.
Wayne Lewis has been Director of Sales at ESD, Inc. in Pennsylvania since 2004, and previously worked at American Dryer Corp. for 18 years. ESD is an original equipment manufacturer specializing in the production of mechanical and electronic payment system products used in the self-service laundry industry, since 1969.
